Intelligence BriefingAltaya - Aug. 9, 2008 NewAltaya announces their new "Panzer" collection consisting of German tanks and armored vehicles of WWII. These 1/72 scale reproductions are manufactured with diecast and plastic injection parts, each design was supervised by specialists in the second world war, and includes all new moulds. The first model has already hit the market with each new release following approximately every 2 weeks. They're currently only available in France, but should become available elsewhere in Europe over the next several months and at some point reach the United States.
Black Hawk Miniatures - March 10, 2008Black Hawk enters the world of 1:72 scale with three exciting releases centering around World War II. These self contained vignettes and dioramas will feature completely assembled, hand painted pewter figures, vehicles and scenic bases. Look for these to be available in the late Spring, early Summer of 2008. Caesar Miniatures - October 13, 2007Caesar Miniatures enters the scene with 6 new sets of prepainted 1/72 figure sets, with more to be released soon. Additional photos can be found in the Gallery. Hobby Master - October 13, 2007Hobby Master announced that to keep down production costs and avoid a price increase, they will be switching to mostly plastic on their future 1/72 releases. Dragon Armor/Cyber Hobby - June 14, 2007Cyber Hobby announced the upcoming release of two more limited edition Dragon Armor tanks; Panther G w/ Steel Road Wheels (DRR60322) and Super Heavy Tank MAUS (DRR60324). Those in the US can order them directly from Dragon USA Online, those outside of the US can order direct from Cyber Hobby. They're limited edition so it is advisable to pre-order them now before they're all sold out and selling for 2-3 times as much on Ebay. Pictures of both can be seen at the bottom of here. Hobby Master - June 14, 2007Hobby Master announced two more future releases; another KV-2 (HG3004) and another Cromwell (HG3104). Pictures will be added once they become available. Forces of Valor - Oct. 22, 2006Forces of Valor unleashes two new tanks for their 2007 lineup; Tiger 1 & Tiger II. Website Admiral Toys - Sept. 18, 2006Admiral Toys reveals pictures of several prototypes; Russian SU-85 tank destroyer, M41 Walker Bulldog, US 105mm howitzer, German 88mm and Japanese Type 97 Shi Ki tank. Expected release date is the first half of 2007. They've also hinted at a German Pak 40 anti-tank gun and painted figure sets. It's probably safe to say we will see other anti-aircraft and artillery guns as well.
