Amercom is a publishing company in Poland with a collection of 1/72 scale
tanks and armored vehicles. The name of the collection is "Czolgi Swiata" which translates to
"Tanks World", or presumably "Tanks of the World". The collection is available through subscription or
local newsstands and released monthly. Each issue includes a 1/72 scale model
enclosed in a plastic display case and an 8 1/2" x 11" magazine. Each magazine includes articles
on the history, organization, tactics and technological developments of tanks, as well as specific
details on the featured model. The collection includes armored vehicles from WWII to present day and from
several different countries.
This collection consists mostly of tanks and armored vehicles from the Altaya/DeAgostini Combat
Tanks Collection and Panzer Collection. They're similar in that the detail is a bit soft, but different in that
some of the models found in this collection have different paint schemes and unit/tactical markings than those found
in the Altaya/DeAgostini collections. Some of the models also appear to come from other manufacturers; Forces of Valor
(M113 & Churchill), Admiral Toys (Panzer III G) and Hobby Master (M24 Chaffee). These are simplified versions
however with less detail than that found by the other manufacturers.
